Bio
Eric has more than 20 years of internal and external auditing, consulting, accounting, and hospital management experience, which has provided him with unique insights into financing, revenue cycle, and patient care matters. Eric is experienced in leading and providing high-quality healthcare internal audit services, with a focus on delivery in higher education, children’s hospitals, and governmental settings. He has designed innovative approaches to risk assessment, enterprise risk management, pharmacy audits, and clinical audits and has been engaged multiple times as a healthcare speaker and thought leader.
Prior to Kodiak, he served as a partner in the healthcare consulting practice at Crowe LLP. His other work experience includes Jupiter Medical Center (CFO and Controller), Big Four external audit (Audit Senior Manager), and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center-HCA (Assistant Controller). Eric is a CPA in California and Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bryant University.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Eric also holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation from the AICPA and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. When not collaborating with Kodiak’s customers, Eric can be found refereeing on soccer pitches throughout California, attending his daughter’s cheer competitions, traveling, or helping his wife with her horses.
